I welded the sword in Hon San-mai gitae.

Tamahagane billets.

The Tamahagane was broken up into bits and then forged in to a billet.

This chunk of steel was forged earlier this year. I have enough in a sunobe for a wakizashi. It behaved much differently than mill steel and I can't decide if I will work with it in the future.
